The relief represents the deceased reclining upon a kline. He is wearing a chiton and a himation and extends a two-handled stemmed cup in his right hand. The figure of Anubis as a jackal appears in the upper left corner of the relief. In front of the couch are represented a sheaf of wheat, an amphora on its stand, a wine vessel and a tripod in which rest two shallow cups and a small jug. Although the relief depicts a young man, the inscription commemorates a forty-year old person: "Heraclas, about 40 years old. Year 12, Athyr 3. Be of good courage."
