The marble block, decorated in relief on its two sides, may have been the base of a votive gift. The more intact side shows a bearded man seated on a rock. He wears a mantle draped around the waist, and probably holds a wreath (or perhaps a libation dish) in his outstretched right hand; there is a round shield at his feet. Even the gender of the figure on the other, more fragmentary side is difficult to tell. The figure holds a bird with open wings in the outstretched left hand. Based on the wreath, the block perhaps formed part of a votive gift offered to commemorate a victory.
