According to the inscription above the figures, the stele shows Mika and Dion. Mika is the young woman seated on a backless chair with a footstool, wearing chiton and himation, her hair tied with a ribbon and a veil. She holds a mirror in her left hand, a typical attribute of wedding scenes, perhaps as a sign of their upcoming nuptials. Dion stands in front of the seated woman, gazing at her. He wears a mantle that leaves his muscular chest bare, and has no beard — he is a young man. The close connection between the figures is marked by their clasped hands: perhaps they are bride and groom.
