Stable isotope data fall in a zone where different source areas (i.e. Thasos, Marmara, Paros, Hymettus, Carrara) overlap and the data are not conclusive. They are also different from those of the marbles of Ephesos and other marble sources around. Marmara is the most probable origin of this marble according to our data. However, we have some reservation about this provenance.
